I’m the product of a typical, though confusing, Italian education path: a mishmash of Classical Humanities, Chemistry and Physics. When I discovered that I could make a living in Europe by writing my own grants, I proceeded to turn into a deluxe migrant. I worked at CNRS and at the University of Stuttgart, where I was exposed to many of the subtle nuances of harshness that academic life can offer. My Group relocated to Oxford’s Department of Materials in January 2015, tempted by friendly colleagues, free college food and the English weather. In addition to blacker-than-pitch coffee, my passions include coordination chemistry, nanomagnetism and nanoelecronics.

Ah!…and I read. About everything. A lot.
